8AM Workshop - Introducing Asset Performance Management (APM) Based on Your EAM Data in Maximo Manage by Leveraging Maximo Health: Presented by Joe Mendoza, Interloc Solutions Inc.
**Bring your laptop for this 2.5 hour hands-on learning workshop. Breakfast is included.
Maximo Manage stores valuable EAM data across key areas such as Assets, Preventive Maintenance, and Work Orders. These core Maximo Business Objects (MBOs), along with supporting objects, form the foundation for Maximo Health to generate business-specific health, criticality, and risk scores. This training workshop will help you identify the various factors already present in your MAS Manage application and guide you in what will be required to prepare your data to include the necessary attributes for assessing the health, criticality, and risk of your critical assets.
This training course will cover: -Overview of Maximo Health -End user flow to detect Assets in poor health and taking action -Creating Scoring Groups -Creating Scoring Ranges -Creating Scoring Contributors and discussing out-of-the box Contributors -Linking Contributors to Scores within Scoring Groups -Review your configured Scores and perform actions -Independent exploration with answer and question period. This segment of the workshop will allow users to independently explore with the configurations and provide an opportunity to work through questions.
11AM Workshop – Enhancing User Experience with Classifications and Attributes: Presented by Jason Uppenborn, Cohesive.
**Bring your laptop for this 2.5 hour hands-on learning workshop. Early lunch is included
When dealing with the major record types in Maximo, such as assets, items, tickets, or work orders, there often arises a need to gather certain data points for a group of those records that are similar. Classifications are a great way to group those records, and classification attributes are a great way to dynamically expand the data points that can be captured on an as-needed basis.
Unfortunately, many Maximo customers hesitate to make good use of classification attributes, for a number of reasons, including: -Interaction with attributes is clunky -Inability to configure conditional controls between attributes -Accessing attributes via relationship.attribute syntax is troublesome
To facilitate the use of classifications, we will develop and use a "Specification Agent", using in-Maximo (MAS Manage) development tools. We will find that this is an effective and reusable way to make classification attributes look like and behave like regular object attributes.
Attendees will leave the course with an appreciation of what can be achieved with classifications, in-Maximo development tools and well-structured, reusable automation scripts.
2PM Workshop - Work Management Without Silos: Integrating Planning, Scheduling, & Execution in Maximo: Presented by Zane Shockley, Prometheus Group
**Bring your laptop for this 2.5 hour hands-on learning workshop. Late lunch is included.
In today’s maintenance environments, optimizing work management isn’t just about digitization, it’s about integration, alignment, and continuous improvement. Whether your organization is just beginning the transition from paper-based processes or is already leveraging digital tools for maintenance planning and scheduling or mobile work management, this hands-on workshop is designed to meet you where you are and take you to the next level.
This interactive session will guide participants through streamlining the full work management lifecycle, from identifying maintenance needs to executing work efficiently in the field. We will explore common challenges such as disconnected systems, reliance on spreadsheets, and non-integrated point solutions, and learn how to streamline and enhance their processes while maintaining Maximo as their source of truth.
Key workshop components will include: -Maturity Mapping: Identify where your organization sits today across planning, scheduling, execution, and data integration. -Best Practices in Work Identification and Execution: Techniques to ensure quality work orders and efficient execution. -Maximizing Planning and Scheduling in Maximo: From basic scheduling to advanced functionalities that drive better resource utilization. -Mobilizing Maintenance: Learn how integrated mobile solutions transform data capture, real-time visibility, and technician productivity. -Bridging the Gaps: Strategies to connect siloed systems and workflows for a seamless Maximo environment. -Live Demos and Scenario-Based Exercises: Apply concepts directly in hands-on labs using real-world examples tailored to different maturity levels.
This workshop is ideal for maintenance professionals, planners, schedulers, IT leaders, and reliability engineers looking to refine their use of Maximo and build a roadmap for continuous improvement in work management.
Join us and leave with tangible strategies and next steps, no matter where your organization is on its digital journey.
We are looking forward to seeing you at Calgary CanMUG 2025!
